As you have heard by now, we are on a mission to have “Roadrunner” declared to official rock song of the Commonwealth. Rep. Marty Walsh (D – Dorchester, where most good ideas start) has filed HD3506, “An Act designating the song ‘Roadrunner’ as the official rock song of the Commonwealth.” Other reps have until tomorrow, Feb. 20, to sign on as co-sponsors. The best part – at some point there will be a public hearing at the State House – probably in April or May, where you can all testify about WHY this should happen. It’s possible we could be challenged by another song, but I’m not worried. If there are two things we know how to do, they are 1) run a grassroots campaign and 2) put on a show!
